LAWNCARE
PLANS
Lawns
are your garden's carpet . . . you would not have an unkempt,
tired, threadbare carpet in your living room, so why treat
your lawns differently; far more people see it . Look upon
your lawn as your garden's main focal point - a perfect, lush
green, striped sward creates an appearance of care, space
and health, inviting use.
The
ENGLISH GARDEN Company
takes lawn care very seriously and it now forms some 20% of
our core business. Our service will exceed all your expectations
and is a far superior service to the newly established, specific
lawn care franchises. Even lawns that clients believe need
re-turfing can be turned into a pristine lush green oasis
within a few months, and at a fraction of the replacement
costs.
Renovations
may be carried out under a seasonal lawn care plan without
additional labour service costs. Care plans are available
in two frequencies, either weekly or fortnightly, and running
from March through to November, payable seasonally or monthly.
Level
of lawn care:
- Lawns
are cut each call to an average height of 20 to 40mm dependent
on grass type, leaving a perfectly striped finish, viewed
from the house. Our machines with their drainage achievements
are designed to enable cutting in all but the most torrential
of downpours, achieving an uninterrupted service throughout
the season.
- Lawn
edges are trimmed every cut and left clean and sharp, with
cuttings collected.
- Professional
wetting agents are applied bi-monthly during the summer
to keep our lawns a verdant green and unstressed during
hot dry periods.
- Thatch
infestations are removed by regular mechanical scarifications.
- Compaction,
a common problem in London clay soils, is alleviated by
mechanical core aeration to a depth of 100mm, followed by
removal and top dressing with a rootzone mix to allow water
and air penetration.
- Weeds
are eradicated by annual treatment with herbicides and further
spot weeding as necessary.
- Moss,
a serious problem on poorly drained soil, is treated with
an algaecide annually and then removed by mechanical scarification.
- Worms
are controlled and kept away from the surface, so no worm
casts to spoil your sward during cutting.
- Pests
and disease are easily identified in a fine lawn and are
treated as appropriate.
- Overseeding
is carried out twice annually to infill barren or worn areas
and generally to replace specific grasses as they end their
lifespan.
- All
lawns receive a monthly professional foliar feed appropriate
for the season.
- Fallen
leaves can cause a serious loss and weakening of grasses
so we remove them before cutting on every call in the autumn.
We
are often called upon by competitors to supply them with the
seed mixes we use on the lawns under our care; what does that
tell you about the prominence of our lawns?
