The ENGLISH GARDEN Company provides fully qualified, first class domestic & commercial gardening and tree services in London, the Home Counties, and now Tuscany. Based on a fundamental love affair with the English style of horticulture, a wide range of professional services is covered in-house ensuring the provision of consistent good service, in a one stop-shop for clients.

We were the first - now we are merely the best - whether a domestic garden, embassy, a managed property or a commercial site, we have both the Wow factor and the know- how for you.

The family business started in 1974 and, once established, became the first horticultural company in the London area to manage, maintain, and move garden and tree care forward on a professional level, combining pro-active artistic flair with experience and a fully qualified workforce. The company's current maintenance portfolio is valued at some £650,000,000, with many regular clients benefitting from the company's services since its inception 34 years ago - not many can claim that.

We have won many awards in our 34-year history, including a medal at the Hampton Court Flower Show - the largest in the world - for our 'Design and Build' landscaping project entitled 'Balance & Harmony'.

We take our environment seriously. Working so close to nature we are only too aware of the need to use organic materials wherever possible, recycling all green and timber waste, and generally adopting a sympathetic company-wide attitude to all related environmental concerns. For every chemical fertilizer and pesticide available, we aim to use an organic equivalent. Every plant we place in the ground for you is a debit to your carbon footprint.

Our loyal staff work in any weather, such is their dedictation. Perhaps the only exception is undertaking tree works in high winds for Health & Safety reasons.

Our affiliations include The Royal Horticultural Society, The International Society of Arboriculture, The Soil Association and The Horticultural Trades Association. We have also achieved 'Approved Contractor' status under the new Safe Contractor Scheme.

Any garden or tree is our business!

Health and Safety issues are embraced with rigorous on and off site training and full Public / Product / Employment insurance cover is carried up to £10,000,000.

For every good contractor there are 20 bad in our trade. Always ask to see examples of previous similar works unless you have a recommendation.
